INVESTMENT CASTING
Investment casting, also known as lost-wax casting, involves creating a wax pattern, building a ceramic shell around it, removing the wax, and then pouring molten metal into the resulting mold.
SHELL MOULDING
The shell core process involves forming a thin, hard core using resin-coated sand blown into a heated core box, where heat cures the resin and binds the sand, creating a shell core for use in casting.
SAND CASTING
Sand casting involves creating a mold from sand, pouring molten metal into it, allowing it to solidify, and then removing the sand to reveal the casting. The process typically includes pattern making, core making (if needed), mold preparation, melting, pouring, cooling, shakeout, and finishing.
PRESSURE DIE CASTING
Pressure die casting is a metal casting process where molten metal is forced under high pressure into a sealed metal mold cavity, where it solidifies, and then the casting is ejected.
GRAVITY DIE CASTING
Gravity die casting involves preparing a heated metal mold, pouring molten metal into it using gravity, allowing it to cool and solidify, then ejecting the casting and removing excess material.
PRECISION MACHINING OPERATION
A Traub machine, we typically follow these steps: Prepare the workpiece, select the appropriate tooling and program, set the machine parameters, initiate the cycle, and then inspect the finished part.
